CCTV Badge is a round ~2.25 inch badge with a yellow "Smile you're on cctv" face. One of the eyes is a camera. It records 12 hours of video and sound to a memory card. There is no playback screen, the only control is a switch: record/off.

The badge can be worn on a jacket or as a pendant.

CCTV Badge doesn't exist yet. Hardware exists http://www.hammacher.com/publish/73430.asp that would do as a first bash. The size is almost right : 1 1/2" H x 2 1/2" W x 3/4" D. (1/2 oz.). It can record 4 hours on to a 1 GB SD card, 16 hours to a 4 GB card. The 1 x AAA battery would need beefing up to run for 8 hours. Hiding it behind a 3" badge would provide room for a better battery.

600kb/min direct to card - 1GB card = 28 hours - one of the crystal cases could be made into the badge - problem with the display being lit up all the time - need software solution to that - start of 1 hour filming, battery 37% after 1 hour filming bright light, 23%, 14%/hour, ~7 hours on a full charge)
